Where to begin?

A loooooong time ago I lived on my own. Yes, I am a Singaporean who rented a 5 room flat for $700 (one room closed). (Call me Eurpeanised or whatever but I don't think it's such a bad idea that a single female lives alone.)

And get this - I paid a total of 3 months' rent (the 3rd mth rent was because the landlord/hdb flat owner said he needed cash urgently). How naive I was!

I could not get my own power supply account as the owner defaulted on payment for almost 7 months. I decided to move out as I cannot live n a place where water trickled!! Laundry and shower was almost close to impossible.

The agents whom I contacted do not want to be held responsible for the predicament I was in. 2 agents are responsible - 1 Chinese man and a Punjabi lady.

The house owner lives in JB most of the time (heard he has some kind of food business there) and paid me back only $300 before going MIA (missing-in-action) again.

I complained to HDB...they called and asked for more info. No more news from them whatsoever. I can't remember which but it was a real estate association whom I wrote to about my problem. Also no reply.

( It's funny how I also wrote to all 3 primary schools in Toa Payoh trying to find a lost relative's son (heard he was abused and treated badly) and I also got the SILENT TREATMENT - no news! Barely a year later, the boy ended up in hospital because his parents abused him....why preople do not respond when they should, is a mystery. )

Now here I am...YONKS LATER......jobs later......and I will bet you my head ( lol ) I am going to be a better agent than those hypocrites who do not know how to protect buyers' and tenants' interests.
